1. Data Controller
Blumind Technologies, S.L. (hereinafter, “Blumind”) is the controller of personal data collected through the website www.waterbenchmarks.ai (the “Water Benchmarks” project/brand), in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).
2. Data Protection Officer
No Data Protection Officer has been appointed, as this is not mandatory under Article 37 of the GDPR. For any matter relating to the processing of your personal data, you may contact the controller directly using the email address given in section 1.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing
Personal data collected through the website will be used exclusively for the following purposes:
a) Handling enquiries and communications. Responding to requests
submitted via the contact form or by email.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – steps taken at the data subject's request prior
to entering into a contract.
b) Newsletter and informational communications. Managing newsletter
subscriptions and sending communications related to project activities.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent of the data subject.
c) Job applications. Receiving and managing applications submitted
through a “Work with us” form, if available.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – steps taken at the data subject's request prior
to entering into a contract.
Data will be processed lawfully, fairly and transparently, limited to the stated purposes and only for as long as strictly necessary.
4. Disclosure and International Transfers
Blumind does not disclose personal data to third parties except where necessary to comply with legal obligations or to provide the service.
For email communications and subscriber management, Blumind uses technology providers (processors) that may process data on the controller's behalf. Where any such provider carries out international data transfers, these will be subject to appropriate safeguards under Articles 44 to 49 of the GDPR.
5. Data Retention
Personal data will be kept only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected and to determine any liability arising from processing. For newsletter subscriptions, until the data subject withdraws consent or unsubscribes. Once applicable statutory periods have expired, data will be securely deleted.
6. Data Subject Rights
Users may at any time exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, and may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
To exercise these rights, contact the controller at the email address given in section 1, providing sufficient identification.
Data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, www.aepd.es) if they consider that the processing of their data does not comply with applicable law.
7. Security Measures
Blumind applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of personal data, in accordance with Article 32 of the GDPR and the accountability principle in Article 5(2) of the GDPR, including access controls, backups and encryption mechanisms where appropriate.
8. Updates and Validity
This Privacy Policy may be reviewed and updated in the event of legislative changes or changes to processing activities. The updated version will be published on www.waterbenchmarks.ai with the publication date, which will replace any previous version.
